No elder, pastor, denominational leader or priest is responsible for your relationship with God. There is only one mediator and that is Christ Jesus. This means you and you alone are responsible and accountable for that relationship. It also means you have the opportunity to grow it as you desire and you are free of any persons's judgment. God will judge each of us in light of our relationship with the mediator.
